The Music Studios of Pete Martinez
About this pro
Pete is awesome! I started taking lessons from him just over a year ago. Having had no formal training prior, he was able to teach me a version of Ben folds’ the luckiest which I then played for my wife on our wedding day just a few short months later. He works with you to make sure you know the basics but also keeps it fun. It’s been clear from the start that he has a passion for music as well as the patience and enthusiasm for anyone seeking to learn more about the instrument and music in general. Highly recommend.Feb 28, 2018Verified
I have been working now with Pete on progressing my piano skills. I greatly appreciate his work and patience with me as I try to break old habits. I'd recommend Pete and his skills to anyone looking for Piano lessons; new or old.Jan 2, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Lessons are weekly, half-hour sessions. There is no enrollment fee, no registration fee and no long term contract. Lessons are month-to-month and tuition is paid by the month. Tuition is 140.00 per month (averaging 35.00 per lesson). Of course, I happy to accommodate any preferences the student/parent may have for length and frequency of lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? My objective for a new student is to have them leave the session confident that I will do my best to help them play their instrument comfortably and correctly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I studied directly under Matt Michaels and David Van De Pitte and remain a perennial student of music, the arts and media. I have worked for decades as a professional musician in the Detroit area (performing in just about every style). I have experience in the studio, as a Band Leader, as a Musical Director, as a Director of Worship Arts and (of course) as a private instructor.
