After just purchasing my home, I was looking for someone to build some built in bookshelves in my office for a decent price. I looked on thumbtack and Steve popped right up so I decided to give him a go. From the first contact on Thumbtack, Steve was professional and courteous. He was punctual and gave me a very reasonable quote for the bookshelves. He gave me all the options and even made some suggestions which I appreciated. He wasn't pushy but let me know that he would do a great job so I decided to hire him. Steve did do a great job building the bookshelves and kept me abreast of the progress. When it was time to install the shelves, Steve was on time, built a great product, and ensured that I was happy with the entire thing before he accepted payment and left. Steve is a true professional and does a great job, so much so that I hired him again to refinish my dining table. One week later as promised, Steve was back with the table. It looks brand new! His experience shines through from the first meeting to the finished project. I definitely recommend Steve for any project you need done and I will definitely hire him again the next time I need something done.

Contracted Steve to replace the front entry door of my house, to include the side lites and the transom. Steve had me order the door from Lowe's myself which left me with several issues when the door arrived. The first being, the door being replaced is on a 2 by 6 and Lowe's had me order a door frame on a 2 by 4. Not a huge deal, but had to fill a 2 inch gap. Second the door was ordered with straight hinges instead of adjustable ones and the door frame is not as level as it should be, causing an issue with door to close and open. Steve did a good job with the trim and came back to adjust the door so that it opened and closed properly.

Steve is a consumate professional. Great communication and follow-up. Would highly recommend for any painting job necessary. Have also discussed finishing basement, as he has a wealth of experience in this area, as well. Plus, he's a very nice guy!

This guy is a thief. All he knows how to do is talk, talk, talk and will call you 7 in the morning every day and eat your brains out. He will try to get your money without writing a contract or giving a receipt. Once you give him your money, it's gone for good. He's a FRAUD. Our house is spewed with debris and none of the work is done. We will have to hire somebody else to do the work - this has set us back by 9 days and $1225. STAY AWAY!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No,i look at everything before I give a quote. Its much better to see a potential project first. That way i can give an accurate price to the customer.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will call and speak to the potential customer and offer them a free estimate on their project.we would then schedule a day and time that is good for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 35 years experience in the construction teades. I have a carpenters diploma. I also am a master painter and drywall person. I received my carpentry diploma in 1979. I joined the painters union in 1982.I started finishing basements,kitchens,bathrooms around 1994.
