Introduction: I have been in the Remodeling industry for 41 years and have the ability to get the job done correctly. I do not do multiple jobs at one time. I give every job my full attention 100% until it is complete. I have the knowledge of all the trades, allowing me the ability to get your job done faster then having to bring in someone from another trade. I also no not ask for a deposit/money up front. I have in 41 years heard all the horror stories of contractors taking a deposit and never returning to do the work. I won't ask for a deposit until I show up with materials and manpower. I have hundreds of satisfied customers. The ability to come into a project that has not been completed, or has not been started. Also to be able to help the customer figure out the details to complete the job, and to make sure the customer is happy.

PAST EXPERIENCE: (Mid-1990’s) Packed up a van of construction tools and drove down to Jacksonville, Florida to dry-in an addition to our home. (Yes, combine some pleasure time in sunny Florida). With the foundation in place and rafters delivered, you were able to get the exterior walls and rafters up, under roof, and interior walls studded. From there, we completed the rest, though we did contract out the electrical and sheetrock mudding. All our project pictures were lost in our move to south Florida, however, I was able to find one picture of the house some 15 years later. The original front of the house was just the garage and one window. The addition added the second window and two more behind, which is not visible. But, what you can get from this picture is “you cannot tell there is an addition done to the house!” RECENT EXPERIENCE (March 2016): We want to thank you for the awesome crown mold job you recently completed in our home! As homeowner who likes to do projects, we knew the angles and corners (to include some rounded corners) was just too much for us. Combine that with textured walls and ceilings, we thought that may create a challenge, but your expertise flowed without pause! The finished product is seamless! And again, we were fortunate that you were able to combine some pleasure time in sunny Florida and also allow time to for this job. It has made a huge esthetic difference and truly appreciate your professionalism throughout this process. We cannot thank you enough for such an outstanding job!! (Sorry I was not able to attach a couple of photos....bummer)

I hired Hammer to build a bar for me in my basement, actually it was an Irish pub, my wife and I were impressed with the research Hammer had done on old Irish pubs. He laid the floor, built the pub and put in the ceiling, from A to Z he did it all. We were very happy with everything! It was an Irish pub. He even installed the shelves for the liquor bottles without brackets of any kind, amazing and beautiful. We didn't let him go after that he built an enclosure for us to hold our trash cans. Put in our bathroom and hung the drywall in the entire basement. I also had Hammer build me a custom television cabinet for the showroom of my business, it was the focal point of the room. Hammers work is second to none to only being topped perhaps by his vast knowledge of construction all the way down to the finishing touches. Vernon Eppard has completed a number of projects in both of our homes: one in Virginia and the other in Texas. We have been so happy with every project and have recommended him to many friends over the years. His suggestions and recommendations were wonderful. In our Virginia home, he designed and built out the basement area adding three bedrooms, a full bathroom, a family room, a custom bar, and a back deck. In our Texas home, Mr. Eppard has made two separate trips to complete a number of projects for our family. He has converted our formal living room into an office with double French doors; converted our lofted library into a bedroom; ran crown molding throughout the entire second floor; removed original marble from foyer area and laid new ceramic tile; remodeled fireplace mantle and created hidden area behind mantle for all electrical cords for large-screen TV and entertainment system. Added additional kitchen cabinets, removed old florescent lighting, and created an inlaid ceiling lighting system. Mr. Eppard built a custom butcher-block island, replaced back splash and countertops throughout the kitchen. He built new board-on-board fence and added a screened in porch with access to pool. We highly recommend Vernon Eppard for all of your home improvement projects. He is an outstanding carpenter and the only one we will contract with to do our home improvements.

Hammer's Remodeling updated our master bathroom with new tile flooring, a custom framed mirror, a new shower, and base mold. The final product was exactly what we envisioned and the contractor consulted with us every step of the way to ensure we were getting exactly what we wanted in the budget that we set. Highly recommend!

I had a built-in glass door bookcase that was poorly built and sagging. Hammer cane in and suggested glass shelving and ambient lighting. Gorgeous and the right call!
