Hired on Thumbtack

Hired on Thumbtack

I wish I'd listened to the reviews on Thumbtack prior to hiring. I my opinion, while locking in the project, Jason was super responsive, had tons of ideas and used every opportunity to up-sell the job. We hired him to fill and level our backyard and completely re-sod and lay mulch i n both the front and backyard. After pushing the job back a week, he did a very half-assed job - clearly ran out of sod in certain places and instead of leaving clean lines or making it look nice, pulled rocks in to fill were he claimed the 'footprint' ended and called it a day. When I arrived home to inspect the job, he was very defensive despite clearly not caring enough to do a thorough job. He left spots of the yard without mulch, mulch and dirt all over the driveway and only agreed to have his guys come clean up and complete the project when I told him we wouldn't finish payment until it was done. He then 'magically' had extra sod and was going to send his team that night to complete. I was then alerted by my neighbor he ran over their yard, pulling up major patches of their grass (and ours) as well as scratching up our driveway with their truck. When I mentioned this to Jason, he let me know it "wasn't a big deal and he felt no need to tell me." Insane. I have reached out 3x now to ask him when he'll be back to finish patching the grass he destroyed in my neighbors front yard, power wash the scratches from the driveway, and finish the sod where he skimped and moved rocks to cover in the backyard. All things he promised to do and is now completely unresponsive. I strongly advise going with another landscaper.

Jason borbely of precision landscaping gave us a quote and scheduled himself to do out our project at 9:30 friday morning. As of 10:30 he still had not shown up. We called him and guess what he said? His grandmother died and he had to leave town quickly,,,,oh, and he lost all our contact info. Then he hung up on us. Stay away from this guy/company
