Introduction: Rayven has been filming weddings and working in Film + TV for over a decade. You can trust in her to capture the small, intimate details that make up your day. The ones in that secret world that exist right there in public, unnoticed, that no one else knows about-- the smiles, the laughs, the deep breaths, the trembling hands and sparkle in their eye when they realize they get to spend the rest of their life with you. After my mom passed away, I realized I didn't have any photos or videos of her. All those little moments that weren't captured and seemed so insignificant at the time, were lost. It's hard to understand how priceless photos and videos are until they are all you have. I truly believe what I do is important. I love capturing important days and moments for families to have forever - grandpa's laugh, mom's knowing smile, the love of your life's face when you walk down the aisle.

I've used routt66 for years for all the important moments in my life! Rayven has filmed my wedding, photographed my maternity shoot, and photographs all my children's events! I will never use anyone else!! She is an incredible artist that puts so much love and thought into the work that she does. She's not just another photographer looking to make money. Rayven did my acting headshots and I’m just blown away! They are EXACTLY what I wanted. I’m also glad I did it because I feel like I really made a friend. Rayven is so kind and generous. She makes you feel completely at ease when you’re in front of the camera. We just had fun! Which I think is the most important part of a good photographer.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to really get to know my clients. I'll take you out for coffee or drinks, or just speak on the phone or skype if you prefer. I like for my work to be very personal and unique, so it is best if we get to know each other and make sure we're a good match!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BFA in Film and Video Production BA in English AA in Fine Arts
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I filmed my first wedding when I was 12-years-old. I started working for a local news show when I was 15, quickly growing from getting coffee for reporters to running the teleprompter and eventually running studio cameras. I've continued to work in Film, Commercials, and TV, but I mostly love capturing events and making commercials for small businesses.
