FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing of Chapter 7 cases depends on the complexity of your situation. Fees for Chapter 13 cases are set by the court, but we set the amount of retainer depending on the circumstances, and what work we may need to do in conjunction with the bankruptcy filing. The Chapter 13 retainer will include the court filing fee and the cost of getting your credit report. We always strive to work with the client.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We work with our clients on a personal basis. Unlike firms that file a large number of cases, you will talk to an attorney anytime you have a legal question, from the first consultation, through any follow-up matters. We have you fill out a series of questions and gather a list of documents. The questionnaire and the documents can be sent over electronically or delivered in person. We prepare the case with the questionnaire and documents provided by you and meet with you shortly after that. At that meeting we go over the bankruptcy petition schedules and statements to review for accuracy. Once you are satisfied that they are accurate, we have you sign them and your case will be filed electronically.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
