Philip and I bought a new (to us) home last December. It was a short sale, and had some of the common problems: outdated, maintenance neglected for years, a leak in one wall, you name it. It's a great house and we're really enjoying living here, but it needed a LOT of little (and not-so-little) things done that Philip and I simply aren't equipped to do.
Luckily we were referred to George Galbreath, a true Renaissance Man when it comes to painting, home repairs and updating! Honestly, I don't know how we would have coped without George. When he came out for the first time, I had probably a dozen pieces of furniture that I had ordered off the Internet and had to be assembled, plus bathroom and kitchen faucets, light fixtures, a true mountain of stuff piled in the garage. I'm surprised he didn't just mutter "crazy lady" and walk away.
George has performed the following services to get our home in shape:
painting (the entire interior and some exterior)
installing new sink faucets
hanging pictures and mirrors
hanging ceiling fans
hanging blinds and draperies
fixing a leak (turns out our master bathroom shower was leaking into a bedroom wall)
assembling furniture
fixing a running toilet
installing new towel bars and toilet roll holders
installing new light fixtures
cleaning out the gutters (and they were FULL)
fixing the garage door
installing new thermostats
installing door hardware
fixing holes in both chimneys (requiring climbing on a steep roof)
drywall repair
ceiling repair (Philip fell through it once!)
pressure washing (stucco plus driveway and walkways)
... and probably a bunch of stuff I've forgotten already.
George is reliable, fairly priced, METICULOUS, detail-oriented, friendly and just plain nice to be around. The best thing of all though is that his work is exemplary. If he says it's fixed, it really is fixed. We have not had one instance of being dissatisfied in any way with what he's done. He also cleans up after himself; even when doing drywall he covers all the furniture and then vacuums up after himself.
He gives free estimates so if you need something done, I would have no hesitation in recommending you give him a call.

I had George do several paint jobs for over the years and was so satisfied I have recommended him to other friends and family members' He did a fantastic job at an affordable price.
