FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our standard pricing is $45 an hour and can easily be booked online and on-demand. We don't lock anyone to a set schedule. Discounted rates available for multi-lesson packs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have each new student perform a song for me, so I can evaluate where they are starting from, what their strengths and weaknesses are, and how best to begin their coaching. I then develop a recommended practice routine for them, and give them videos for guided practice with each exercise I assign. As they learn new skills, I show them how to apply them to the songs they want to sing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Christopher Mars has been playing music professionally for over 25 years, since his debut at what was at the time the largest and most popular rock music venue in his hometown of Charlotte, NC as a guitarist and singer in a cutting edge band at just 15 years old. He is a full time music producer and mixing engineer, and also helps guide the careers of budding artists, singers and musicians as a coach and instructor. His experience in music ranges from rock to pop, rap to extreme metal, RnB and jazz. He was formally trained for several years in music at the Central Piedmont College of Music in North Carolina, as well as studying with numerous private instructors over the years. He has written and recorded countless original songs and albums since building his first recording studio in 1996, and taught modern voice, instrumental performance and composition since 2005.
