Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I graduated in 2007 from University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor's in Music Education with a vocal emphasis and have experience teaching large groups of middle school and high school aged people, in addition to adults of all ages. I have had formal training in Classical, Musical Theatre, and Jazz, but I also am an accomplished song-writer and perform often with my band in Denver. I have the versatility and patience to meet you where you are, as well as the passion and knowledge to take you were you'd like to be as a singer. I can help you match pitch, improve your tone, write your own music, prepare for auditions, help you with sight-reading, and give you applicable tips to take home with you to practice. I enjoy working with people of all age groups who have different goals and getting to walk them through the process of honing their skills to be better musicians and increase their enjoyment of singing in the process. I strive to create a safe environment for my students and enjoy seeing my students trust me in helping them grow.

Taking voice lessons from Ms. Hong was probably the best experience and exposure to different genres and singing styles that I could get. Not only did I get the opportunity to be exposed to song styles I didn't even know I'd end up loving, I was also able to feel more confident as a singer. My main problem when singing is my lack of breath support, but Ms. Hong and I tried different techniques to get the sound out, things I wouldn't have thought of but were wholly effective (such as laying over chairs to keep consistent breath support). My favorite style ended up being jazz and there were times that I just wasn't confident in either my tone or technique, but through each lesson with Ms. Hong I was made a more confident and better musician overall.

I had zero vocal training before working with Connie and I’m glad I found her. She was patient, flexible, and effective in her teaching style. She helped me with the material I was excited about. I had goals of increasing my range, tone consistency, and support, all of which improved greatly. Years later, I still remember her warm ups and analogies whenever I’m recording or singing on stage.
