FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I normally charge $35 an hour for my tutoring service but this rate may be subject to change depending on the circumstances.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like my first sessions with new students to be a casual discussion of subject needs, learning styles, and goals through their tutoring experience. I believe it is important to know right off the bat if I will be a good match for you and what our goals will be working together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a University Minor in Spanish/Latino Studies. I have a diverse teaching and tutoring background ranging from Spanish, ESL, and Psychology to dance and yoga. I had 8 years of Spanish schooling, including university studies and one year of intense Spanish immersion experience in Mexico City that boosted my fluency in Spanish. I taught English for a year in Mexico City and I learned great tools and skills in how to adapt teaching activities to different learning styles. I have both schooling background and real-life immersion experience from my year in Mexico City. This allows me to be a more well-rounded teacher/tutor of the language because I teach grammar skills, practical vocabulary, and cultural information. I teach with methods of practicing both written and verbal skills which sets a stable foundation for future learning.
