I would use Scott and Paul again for carpentry, electrical & drywall. Scott took our sketches and made them a reality. Scott's attention to detail and precise measurements got our project off to a great start. Paul's ability to match drywall texture is impressive. We would definitely recommend Duvall Construction if you are looking for quality construction. Scott is determined to make sure you are happy with the finished product and guarantees that he'll come back and make it right if you have any problems. I don't think we'll have any problems with our very sturdy pergola. His crew worked very quickly and left the worksite immaculate when they left. We'll definitely be enjoying our pergola for many years to come.

Can’t say enough good about Scott. I am very picky and difficult to work for. I had a fence and retaining wall to repair on a large property. Rather than upcharging because of the nice house Scott quoted a reasonable price and then STUCK TO THE PRICE AND FINISHED TWO WEEKS EARLY. (He actually tried to drop the price because he found the job was simpler than expected). He also offered to fix a quick rail in our bannister as a “treat” for no extra cost because he had his tools available (we insisted on paying him the initial bid price because the work was so prompt and excellent and because he went the extra mile). Didn’t know Scott until four days ago but I will definitely be calling him again because of his excellent work and business practices.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is fair and I don’t get rich by no means. And it took me 30 years to learn and know what it takes to do a job correctly. So as far as discounts there is none. I have had no complaints about my pricing once I have completed a job.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I reply, second I always go look at what they want and always meet with them. That way we can go over different options if needed. Then I send over a bid and go from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
On the job training. Life of get it done and done right and hurry up. And if it is done wrong you fix it for free. That’s my training.
