FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet in person with anyone interested in my services, especially for birth photography. It is important that I know exactly what every family is looking for in their session. Some families are more modest than others and I like to respect that at all times. For birth sessions, I am on call 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after mom's due date. I arrive for a birth during active labor (usually 5cm of dilation) and stay through the baby being weighed and footprinted. I provide at least 4 shareable images within 24 hours of the baby's birth for families to share with their loved ones. For sessions other than births, I provide sneak peeks within a day or two depending on my schedule. I strive to provide fully edited proofs for each family to purchase packages of their choice within 2 weeks of their session.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of the International Association of Birth Photographers.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I first picked up a camera when our first son was born almost 22 years ago. I was fascinated by the ability to document his every moment that was special to us. My photography has evolved since then and I continue to learn and grow as a photographer. I love photographing our four children and grandbaby. I cherish photos as keepsakes and heirlooms.
