FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It is very difficult to price certain jobs without seeing firsthand the work that needs to be done. I always offer free estimates. Some jobs can be given a set price and others are hourly. Although, even when I charge hourly, I’m usually pretty accurate at giving clients a total price before being hired.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every customer Is unique. Some like to get to know the people they hire, and some just want the job done. I like to be adjustable to each clients needs. Most important to each job at hand, I like to evaluate my own qualifications for what I know I can or can’t handle and then clearly communicate with my client how the final result should be before they commit to hiring me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With the type of work I do, hands on experience is key. I’ve appreciated having different people to learn from so that I can see there’s almost always a better way to do a job than how I may have done it in the past. I started in the cleaning industry 7 years ago. Over that time, I’ve managed a flooring store warehouse, managed a restaurant (customer service!). When I was last employed for a larger company I was certified in carpet cleaning and water damage restoration. I spent 2 years as the lead carpet cleaning tech (unfortunately, I’m not currently equipped to offer carpet cleaning). I’ve also spent over 2 years working for a licensed electrician and plumber.
