FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
With training, typically like to communicate with my clients and create a package that would best suit their needs as well as their dogs and figure out a price from there. every dog is different so the amount of time and what needs to be done is different. board and train is a standard pricing system of 500 a week, 700 for two weeks. that includes bathing, and if needed bathing socialization so it is easier for you in the future. daily walks, leash manners, longer training sessions with your dog, they have 5 acres of fun to fully exercise their doggy needs, human and animal socialization, crate training if requested, furniture manners, and so on. whither you request a private lesson, are dropping your dog off for the day, or an extended period of time, I will work with you, and create a packet so you can bring these skills home with you and keep up with desired behavior; and of course you're always welcome to get in contact with me for any questions you may have.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to conduct a free, in person evaluation of the owner and dog to get a feel of limitations and what needs to be done, and how. I find it important to build custom training packages to make sure every dog and owner gets the most out of the education.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am mostly a self taught trainer. My education is never done, there's always something for me, or any other trainer to learn when working with animals. I've worked side by side with shelters and fostering programmes and other trainers, I read everything I possibly can, and most importantly, get the most hands on experience. I constantly keep in contact with other independant trainers and kennel trainers to discuss methods, rewards, etc.
