FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The total cost of goods and services rendered is determined by an hourly rate(dependent on how intricate the designs are) on top of the cost of supplies. (Floral designer fee: on average $20/hr ( in CT/MA/RI + cost of supplies/travel fees and equipment necessary for flower upkeep. )
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, I like to schedule a face to face meetup, or over the phone/email discussion where we can talk about the client's goals as well as likes and dislikes. In this time, we can go over designs and look over our options, which can include searching the web for floral arrangements to get an overall feel for preferences. After this stage, I research the cost of supplies/ any excess costs and overall designs if needed, and create an organized cost sheet for my services, supplies and shipping/handing(if necessary). I will then call and discuss my findings, offer options, and discuss the best way to move forward. I like to keep communication very open and welcome to any questions or concerns.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have about ten years on the job and management training in the floral industry, which includes the creation of boutonnieres, corsages, wedding bouquets, funeral arrangements, oasis and vase arrangements, decorating wreaths, hand-making bows, holiday preparation, caring for fresh cut flowers/greens/ plants, and more! I also have also passed my ABC (American Association of Bridal Consultants) Wedding Planner Certification and will be available to plan weddings in the future as well.
