FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know my customers before actually doing the shoot so I can get a feel for what they're really looking for in their photos and what styles they prefer. It's important to me to make a connection with the customer so they feel as comfortable as possible during the shoot, this way, they get the most out of their money. I will typically meet the customer for coffee or lunch before the date of the shoot to go over ideas and get to know them better.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working with my mother, who is also a part-time professional photographer, for about 9 years now and I have been taking photos myself for 2 years. I was a photographer for my on campus magazine at Principia college before being promoted to Photo Editor. I also work as a photographer for the Principia College marketing department, along with taking various kinds of photos for people I've met along my journey as a photographer.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure they have your best interest at heart and you feel comfortable around them, that's how you'll get the most out of your shoot.
