FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer discounts on new PC builds with trade in of older hardware. Prices vary based on the older hardware. My standard labor fee is $20 an hour, with travel costs dependent on mileage. However if you are within a 15 mile radius of me, there likely will not be a charge for travel expenses. All other pricing is based by the job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to establish a good rapport with my customers. I want them to not only trust me, but I want to be able to teach them how and why something happened. I am not the type of guy to just say "Well your computer is broken, it'll be $129 to fix it". I do understand that some will just want to get the computer fixed without any knowledge. I want new customers to ask questions if they feel that they don't understand something.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Technical Certification from Augusta Technical College obtained in 2009. The certification is in "Computer Support Specialist". I am also A+ certified for life. I have experience in computers dating back to when I was 13 years old and I built my first computer. Being 30 years old now, I am still repairing and building PC's all of the time.
