Introduction: My name is Alyssa and I am the riding instructor at Turner Stable in Brentwood, NH. Turner Stable specializes in the American Saddlebred horse, these horses are beautiful and eager to please. I have experience teaching riders of all ages and levels; and particularly enjoy starting students just learning to ride! I have over ten year experience teaching professionally and hold a B.S. in Equestrian Science from William Woods University. My lesson horse is Max, a retired show horse, he has made a second career teaching riders of all levels. Our facility includes both an outdoor and semi-heated indoor riding ring, so lessons are available all year and in any weather. Lessons are one half hour private. Although her specialty may lie in the saddleseat discipline, her instruction is certainly not limited to that specific niche. If your goals are to gain better balance, better control and a greater understanding of how the movement of your body affects your horse, this is the professional to contact. She is an efficient and skilled professional and yet still perfectly affable and approachable. Lessons with this instructor are both educational and enjoyable. Her language use during her lessons in one of her greatest strengths. This instructor's creative phrasing makes her commands easy to understand and execute. Alyssa B is committed to her pupils growth and is tireless in her attention to their advancement.

Alyssa is the best. Period. She really gets a feel for how you are as a rider and then helps you go from there. She makes learning dressage fun and never makes me feel stressed even when trying somthing new! She takes the time to make sure you really understand what you are doing not only when riding but before and after too. I started as a new rider and now I can get my horse ready, ride, and then cool him down with minimal help! If you are looking for a trainer who is easy to talk to while also being a great teacher you couldn't ask for anyone better than Alyssa.

I started riding with Alyssa after falling off my horse years ago and losing all confidence in my abilities. A friend recommended Alyssa and I’m so happy that I agreed to give it a shot. Alyssa has built my confidence up so much in a short period of time and I look forward to my lessons with her. Alyssa is kind and understanding and very clear in her instructions. The lesson horses are amazing and the farm atmosphere is second to none. I would recommend Alyssa to anyone just starting out, wanting to get back into riding or even to the seasoned rider. Alyssa has the knowledge, dedication and ability to help any rider grow.
