Janet Greene was my son’s private lessons teacher for almost ten years. She worked with him as a 4th grader until after graduation. His love for his viola and music is in large part due to her passion for music and her gentle guidance to the nuances of music and playing. She also encouraged him to practice every day and we have fond memories of him walking around the house every evening playing his instrument. She often found other venues for him play which gave him confidence in his ability to play in front of others. I believe that one reason he is still playing his instrument in college is the love for music she helped him develop. I highly recommend her as an instructor, tutor and person!

Janet is not only a wonderful violinist as a member of Music By Anthem, but she's a great teacher as well. I first hired Janet about 4 years ago to help my daughter with her self-confidence in playing the violin. Janet was encouraging, patient, and very understanding of her skill level at that time and they became fast friends. I love that she is also supportive and will come to see our daughter at her school performances and other competitions. ...And she has the coolest electric violin *ever*!!

Janet was our son's violin teacher for 8 years. She was fantastic! She really catered to his interests. She is a patient and encouraging teacher. She kept him interested and challenged. She was very supportive of his concerts and Solo Ensemble - attending if she was available. He continues to play in college. She held intimate recitals in her home which were a great experience for the students. Thanks, Janet!

My child has been taking lessons from Janet Greene for 2 years. She is knowledgeable and has a great ear. She has both supported my child in performing school orchestra pieces and auditions and by providing additional pieces to work on specific skills that needed improvement. Both in person lessons and online lessons have been successful for us.
