- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Occasionally, I'll have to purchase a font or a photograph to complete a design. If that's the case, I'll let you know how much of the price went into purchasing the asset, or how much more I'll need to charge. (generally no more than $10 a photo and $30 a typeface)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Generally, I assume I'll produce two drafts and a final copy. First I'll discuss the concept with you, then I'll create several permutations and submit a 1st draft. Then we'll discuss which version(s) you like and what needs changing, and then I'll make some changes and submit a 2nd draft. After that, I'll get your blessing (with a final tweak or two) and submit your final product.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While my formal education was in Mechanical Engineering, I have been a hobbyist designer and developer for as long as I can remember. Over a decade ago I took those hobbies and developed them into a successful career.
