Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Potager takes a conservative approach to landscape design. Oftentimes, a client is overwhelmed with their garden and simply needs some guidance on how to tame it or bring it back to life, rather than ripping it out and starting anew. But whether it's a new garden and you're starting from scratch, or you just need help maintaining an existing one, Potager offers a wide range of services using science-based, organic techniques to develop your designs, install and maintain them. We offer new garden designs for ornamental and kitchen gardens, rejuvenate and renovate existing gardens, garden installations, spring and fall cleanups, regular maintenance and some lawn and sod work. I feel like my client's yards are my canvas. I enjoy tremendously being outside and working in the dirt, and especially the ability to express my creative side while helping a client bring their garden visions to life.

This is the first spring in the home my wife and I purchased last year and we had no idea what was a weed and what was plant. These guys came in and helped us clean up the weeds and thin out the overgrowth, identify plants and helped us see just how beautiful our yard really could be. I'm looking forward to working with them again for next year's spring cleanup!

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically we start swith an initial consultation which includes a conversation with the client during a site visit, taking some preliminary measurements and beginning the design process. Once a design has been created (in cases where new or updated landscaping is requested), we create a budget estimate for installation.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a certified master gardener, and have been a gardener for more than 10 years. I have recently started my own firm focusing on using organic and science-based techniques for garden management.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

It is always a good idea to think about what you are realistically willing to pay for new or updated landscaping. It is estimated that good landscaping can increase the value of your home between 10 and 20 percent, but good landscaping comes at a price. In addition, it is always great when clients have some examples of plants, gardens and garden features they admire during the consultation so that these concepts, or alternate approaches, can be worked into the final design when appropriate.
