We are the ONLY "School of Horsemanship" in Southwest Ranches, Florida. What does that mean, exactly? What it means is that we take the time to develop HORSEMAN, not just the minimal effort to teach you the basics of how to ride. There is SO MUCH more to becoming a true Equestrian than just riding. Horses are beautiful, but complex, animals, but if you take the time to learn how they instinctively think/behave, it helps to understand them. Understanding horse behaviour is the key to success in the saddle...and to be SAFE! Most lesson barns offer a cookie cutter approach to instruction in typical 30/60 minute riding lessons, which is often little more than someone coaching you on where to place your hands, feet, and basic alignment of your body in the saddle. Wouldn't it be great to know what the horse was thinking/feeling? Horse behaviour is just one of the many things we include in our general curriculum for riding instruction.We are now accepting riding students for the fall.
Our curriculum is based on the time-honored traditional methods of The United States Pony Club and overseen by a Certified Riding Instructor, who has been teaching and riding competitively for more than 20 years. Our facility is home to 24 magnificent animals for all ages, levels of riders, from beginner through advanced levels. Our professional trainers are knowledgeable and articulate, and capable of mounting a horse and demonstrating all the skills we teach. Our show record boasts proven results of our School Of Horsemanship.
While our program offers HORSE SHOW preparatory riding instruction, there is no requirement to horse show with us. It is not even necessary to own a horse/pony. We have dozens of schoolmaster horses and ponies available, and four professional trainers on staff. We even have equipment for loan. All you need to get started, is the desire to learn and comfortable clothing. Everything else will be provided to you, at no additional expense.
