- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates are broken out in more detail on my website. Couples sessions are $100 and Individual sessions are $75. There are special pricing for Pre-Marital packages. We do not accept insurance but do take cash, checks, credit cards, PayPal, and even some clients have been able to use their FSA/HSA cards for payments. Unfortunately, most insurance companies do not pay for couples counseling even if we did accept insurance.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process usually starts with scheduling a first appointment. Counseling is much like sitting down with a trusted confidant who is knowledgable and expert in the area that is concerning you. So, the first session would be a lot of talking and you getting a chance to ask questions as well as have someone who would be able to impartially and non-judgmentally hear you out. Intake forms are filled out online from a secure online account, so a lot of the time can be spent working on the situation on hand.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Christian Counselors who holds a Master of Arts Degrees in Professional Counseling (M.A. Professional Counseling) from Liberty University and am an active member with the American Association of Christian Counselors.
