Introduction: I am a military spouse and an alumnus of Howard University (District of Columbia), where I majored in mechanical engineering. During high school, I took the ACT, SAT and ASVAB exams. In high school I was a member of the advanced placement math team where I placed in the top 10% of math students in the state of Tennesee. I am proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint. I am also skilled in AudoCAD. I have coached corporate groups needing a refresher and new students. My subject expertise includes college algebra, pre-calculus, geometry, trigonometry, algebra I, II, and standardized test preparation. I use different coaching and teaching techniques, and I use the method that works best for you. I have over 10 years experience as a manager with major food brands that you love. I am a stickler for details, love crunching numbers, and measure every outcome for desired results. I can be a nurturing teacher, or I can be that accountability partner you might need. Students regularly request my services when preparing for the math sections of the ASVAB, ACT, SAP, SPAT, GED, GRE, HSPT, and HSA exams. Carolette knows what she is doing and is very intelligent. At first I was nervous, but Carolette was able to break down algebra concepts that I have always struggled with in high school. I was able to quickly see the value in my selection. Now that I am returning to school after 10 years, I feel more confident and relaxed about the exam because I can see what the problem is asking and I understand how it needs to be worked out. This was definitely not the case before. I am very excited and well pleased with having Carolette as my ACT tutor. She is one of the best by far. I would have never found her without Thumbtack.

I charge by the hour. I also provide half hour services.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first meet with the parent of children to get a better understanding of the academic goals and educational needs. From there I work with each student to understand their personality and create a bond that will establish the standards moving forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a degree in engineering and have extensive experience in math and science curriculums.
