FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $75/hr. to my customers not on thumbtach. I do lower my rates for Thumbtack due to the fact that I am dealing with individuals rather than a corporation or a large company but never the quality of work I do. Sometimes the job calls for a small amount of work such as cleaning out a fuel line or changing a spark plug and I think it's only right that I charge a minimum amount to repair such equipment in the name of being fair.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
listen, listen, and listen to all information that is given then ask any pertinent questions to help me help the potential customer. I have often been able to discuss the potential costomers problem with the potential customer and even walk them through the repairs themselves saving them time and money but only if the customer expresses the desire to make the repair themselves.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
EXPERIENCE.....Hands-on experience pertaining to mechanic work. I'm caterpillar certified I have worked on everything from drilling rig engines to lawn mowers, cars and trucks of all makes and models. I am very familiar with late model diesel engines and powertrane.
