Introduction: Indy Duct Specialists is a company that specializes in ductwork, from the inside to the outside! Our services cover everything from sealing to cleaning, with a mission to help our customers save money and simultaneously breath easier. We enjoy being able to come into a client's home and perform a service that shows immediate benefits to the client. Each of our services, typically taking less than 2 hours, are designed to yield a noticeable increase in one or more of each of the following: Efficiency, Comfort, and Sanitization. As a local company, each of Indy Duct Specialists' co-owners are currently homeowners as well. Each of us strive to have the most comfortable, clean and efficient home as possible as well, and we love to apply our experience in the building sciences to our clients' homes.

Thanks for your effort in sealing the ducts in my home. I was highly impressed by your attention to detail, the cleanliness in your work, your respect for my home, and your professionalism. I noticed that there is significantly more airflow coming out of my registers, and I believe my HVAC unit is cycling on and off less frequently as well. I also appreciate that you were able to guide us through the rebate provided by my energy company. I still can't believe that after the rebate, my duct sealing was free! How can you beat that?

The Indy duct Specialists came out and sealed the seams and joints of the ductwork they were very professional very nice and the next day. I was able to notice a big difference with the heating of my house I was able to turn the thermostat down a degree. The house just in general does not feel drafty.

I purchased a new home in Spring 2016. Indy Duct Specialists came out and sealed the seams on all my ducts and around the furnace. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It may seem simple, but we start by listening. Each customer is different, and each customer's needs are different. So that is where we start!
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently, we had a client contact us wanting their ducts cleaned. While we were getting them onto our schedule, they asked what would make one room be cool and drafty, and another room be hot and stuffy. After talking with them and finding out that they had asked because it was their house, we recommended that they should consider our Full Home Deluxe Service. This includes our dual stage air flow audit, full duct sealing, and then subsequently cleaning and sanitizing the ductwork, and the cleaning of their dryer vent. The customer decided to commit to the project, and upon completion of the first air flow audit, I was able to determine that there were quite a few deficiencies in their ductwork. We got to work in the crawlspace, which was noticeably warm, sealing the ductwork. As expected, we found the typical seams and joint gaps in the metal ductwork, but we also found a fully disconnected duct! By the time we were done sealing, the crawlspace was significantly cooler because the ductwork was no longer leaking into the crawlspace. Keep in mind if the air isn't leaking out, other things can't get in... I then completed the second air flow audit, and I could already see without compiling any of the data that HVAC system was performing in a much stronger, and more balanced manner. The good news for this customer is that the sealing and disconnect repair was able to resolve the cold room as well as the stuffy room! No further repairs or modifications were needed! Now that their HVAC system was working at its peak efficiency, we performed the duct cleaning aspect of the project. Having the HVAC system sealed before it is cleaned makes the cleaning much more effective. In addition, this client chose to have their ductwork sanitized, which only makes more sense to make sure the ductwork was sealed. Ultimately this client noticed an immediate boost in their indoor air quality, their comfort from room to room, and the best part? The best part is after we compiled the data from the airflow audits, we increased the flow of crisp clean air by 22%. This will translate into savings of 22% of the heating and cooling portion of their bills. That is a great feeling. And we accomplished all of this in just about 3 hours.
