FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I prefer to charge by the hour but am not opposed to agreeing on an NTE ("not to exceed" amount) on a case-by-case basis. Doing the work correctly and to your satisfaction is essential in developing a long-term relationship with my clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We meet, exchange niceties and then look at the work to be done. We'd confer regarding expectations and processes for accomplishing the work. Once we both feel comfortable and agreeable I would commence the work and create a list of items needed to successfully complete the job. If items need to be purchased I would get them quickly from a supplier and return to finish the work. I'm always willing to explain techniques and materials so that you are satisfied with your understanding, and that you have confidence that work is being done professionally and with the desired results. Your satisfaction is my reputation!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a trained locksmith, former real estate agent and property manager, have experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, tile, sheetrock, concrete, door and window replacements and adjustments, and have studied advanced electronics, calibration and metrology (meters/measurement) in the US NAVY.
