FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate is $40 per half hour. If a student decides to commit to taking lessons on a weekly basis, I offer discounted rates.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I evaluate each singer on an individual basis. It is important to determine goals and set a strategy for reaching them. Depending on the needs of the student, I incorporate sight-singing and music theory in hour long lessons. We will focus on proper breathing techniques according to the genre/style of music you would like to study. I will guide the student through correct posture/body alignment to achieve maximum benefit with minimal effort.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.M., M.M. and D.M.A. initiated from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, UC. I was chosen to participate in the prestigious MEROLA Opera program with San Francisco Opera and went on to do the WOT (Western Opera Theater, where I made my Broadway Debut) and was then selected to be an Alder Fellow for 2 seasons. After my apprenticeship with San Francisco Opera, I embarked on an International performing career for over 25 years. While I still continue to be invited to sing with major companies, my focus is on training the stars of tomorrow.
