FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I base all of my estimates and billings on the hours a project takes to complete, with my hourly rate being $75/hr. This allows me to simplify the quoting process by simply estimating how many hours of work a project will require. For example, short online clips (5 minutes or less, one location with B-roll and editing) on average are 5 hours of work. For larger projects, such as conference/event videography or big-scale commercial production, the budget will be larger as I generally will bring in additional professionals/creative talent.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I receive a work request, I like to connect with the potential client ASAP over the phone or in person. I believe establishing a personal touch right from the get-go is very important. In that initial meeting, we'll talk about the concept of your project. From there, we'll create a project plan and schedule, and get to work!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had 13 years of on-the-job experience at Vineyard Boise Church as the Media Producer - I've done everything from livestream production of our Sunday Services, to weekly Video Announcement Production, to Testimonial Videos, to Humorous Skits and even Documentaries. As an independent filmmaker, I have produced over ten short films and two feature films.
