Overall, Chris DuFour and IL Waterproofing did a great job on our project, which was installing a water mitigation solution for our home, including a second sump pump system and extending and burying our gutter downspouts. I felt they were a bit pricey, however the speed, quality and professionalism were top-notch. I've gone frugal (cheap) in past with some Thumbtack hires, and often regretted the decision. This time, my wife and I decided to opt for quality over just cost since water management is such an important factor in a home. Chris took a very consultative approach to our water problems and recommended a sound solution that we are confident in. He and a colleague arrived on time and finished the job more quickly than anticipated. He even found a modest cost savings for us and came in under budget.

The great: - Chris (owner) was engaging, clear in explanation - The team (Reggie in particular) was hard working - They under-promised and over-delivered + Job took 1 1/2 days vs. estimation of 3 days + Included breaking up concrete perimeter, insert french drain, and pouring new concrete - When my basement flooded, Chris came immediately to assess - Connected to both decision makers (wife) to ensure alignment - The team was timely. 8am on the dot both days Minor Improvement: - The newly laid concrete wasn't perfect - Not an issue if your going to add flooring to finish the basement Overall: - I'd hire Chris any time
