I do my best to keep my appointments, but this was a rare occasion where I had to cancel services for an important obligation that came up. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience.

Jackie was amazing! She was incredibly receptive to all my needs, especially when I was acting like a bridezilla. On my wedding day, Jackie made me feel so glamorous. This is coming from someone who normally doesn't like to wear makeup, and requested to have natural looking skin and non glittery eye makeup. We also had four other girls get their makeup done, and Jackie and her sister Joyce were able to finish us all up within three and a half hours. At the wedding, everyone gave me and the other bridesmaids so many compliments, and the makeup lasted the entire night (6 hours). I'd also like to note that I'm Asian and very picky about how my eye makeup is done, and Jackie was spot on. I'd definitely recommend her services to anyone who's looking for great makeup at good value!

When I booked Jackie to do my makeup for my wedding, it was actually the second time I had used her services. She is an incredible person to work with and her talent just can't be matched. I have never been so pleased with my makeup! Not only that, but she also did the makeup for several other ladies the morning of the wedding, and she worked quickly while still maintaining her high quality work. During my makeup trial, she explained all of her products which made me feel much better about the ingredients being applied to my face. Her work was flawless and perfectly matched the aesthetic I had planned for the wedding itself. Also, as though her talent isn't enough, she is a joy to be around as well. Both during my wedding trial as well as throughout the morning of the wedding, she was fun, easy going, and a real joy to talk to. Oftentimes I feel uncomfortable while getting my hair/makeup done as I feel pressure to make conversation, but Jackie made me feel 100% comfortable and was very easy to talk to. I would recommend her to anyone looking for the perfect addition to their special day!

I can't say enough about Jackie! Her makeup artistry is beautiful without being over the top, which is exactly what I wanted! She was always very responsive to all my emails, was extremely patient and detailed in her answers to all the questions I asked during my trial run and thereafter, and most of all, made me feel so beautiful and at ease on my wedding day! Her presence and calmness made the chaos of my wedding day so relaxing and fun! I can't tell you how many people complimented me on how I looked and I couldn't believe how well the makeup stayed on throughout the night! I HIGHLY recommend Beauty By Jackie for your wedding day!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All of my current rates are listed on my website in the "Services" tab.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love meeting and getting to know my brides before their wedding date, which is why I also highly recommend that all my brides come and do a trial run with me. I offer airbrush or traditional makeup. During your trial run, I can get a better understanding of your vision of what your wedding day will be like, and with that I will create a makeup style for you that will make you look and feel your very best! My number one goal for all my brides is to make sure you feel like yourself while still feeling like a million bucks! I want your fiance to recognize you and I'm sure he feels the same way! Trial runs are held at my in-home studio and they typically take about an hour and a half to two hours. My studio is a bit cozy, but I'd definitely be okay if you'd like to bring 1-2 people with you for your trial run! Just let me know!

I received my certification in Makeup Artistry at Graham Webb Academy in Arlington, VA.
