We had a very pleasant experience working with Bob Childs and his team. Bob provided a competitive estimate and scope of work vs other contractors that we consulted. Bob has done prior work for family members and we were impressed with this overall quality of work and attention to detail. As expected, the project had some weather related delays given winter weather and outdoor temperatures. Throughout the course of the project, Bob and his team striped our existing garage down to the studs and rebuilt the entire exterior, including new sheathing, rigid foam insulation, wrap, etc. We choose to use Hardi's panel fiber cement siding in order to retain our farm-house\barn look. Bob completed the installation perfectly, following the manufacture's requirements throughout the install. All trim was done in a wood grain PVC trim material, providing the look/feel of wood along with superior weather resistance. Bob also oversaw the installation of our new garage door as well, which was nice for coordination. Overall, Bob did a great job. He is very attentive to detail and is a good source of knowledge for a homeowner when looking to take on an improvement project. We will definitely consider using his company again for future needs. Our garage is the envy of the neighborhood! Description of work: Provided a complete exterior refacing of garage, including new sheathing, rigid foam insulation, and hardi plank siding. Used very best materials with all PVC trim and fiber cement siding. Oversaw the installation of new carriage garage door.

Robert had done some work for me and my wife 15 years ago on a different house. When we were considering new siding and new windows for our current house, we decided to look him up again. His quote was much more reasonable than the other two firms we contacted and he did not try to sell us on options or designs we were not interested in. He did guide us on some design decisions, but it was to ensure we knew the impacts of what we were asking for, not to increase his profits. The job turned out great and there is a noticible reduction in heat usage. Robert will also follow up and ensure that any items needing attention are addressed. He will not consider the job complete until the customer is 100% satisfied.

Have partial standard pricing for some of the specific categories that we provide however many projects often include variables and intangibles that make exact pricing somewhat of a difficulty. Many times we can get a fairly reasonable ballpark range to a customer if they're just at an initial starting point
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial contact from various sources, set up appointment at customers convenience, review project with customer answer questions and provide information accordingly, submit a formal detailed proposal. Follow up after two days to answer any questions and review proposal
