We had requested to have our window eaves painted, a few roofing shingles added, and to have our decorative shutters reattached or tightened. I typed up a statement of work requested in detail, which I had signed by the servicer. I explained and showed him the work needed and had him quote a price he was comfortable with. I had requested that the service be performed before it got too cold. To make a long story short, the job took him much longer than expected, the top of the window eaves that aren't visible probably wouldn't have been painted if I didn't inspect his work, and the painted color of the window eaves turned out to be a yellowish white.. definitely not matching the white window trim, to which he kept saying another coat needs to be added, and then another.. before long it was up to at least five or six coats, with him promising to keep painting until we were satisfied.. needless to say, the snow and cold came, so he never could finish. If I had known how much of an ordeal this was going to be, I would certainly have chosen some other service.

Aaron hired me very late in the Fall. I was given a description of what was to be done and Aaron showed me the things he wanted fixed. Aaron wanted things fixed as cheap as possible. I explained to him that the proper way to fix his shutters was to take them off. Aaron didn't want that because it would cost more money. It boils down to Aaron wanting a complete job done at a quick fix price. With regards to the windows i was the same thing. He wanted me to just paint over the old paint and dirt. The paint was filthy, and even after sanding it the dirt continued to bleed through. I used the highest quality outdoor paint/primer available and put more than 6 coats on.
I have done work for several people in the area and have never had a complaint. I can provide several references upon request.

I had Jim do a fence. He did a good job so I hired him to repair the corner of the roof on my rental property. He quoted 600.00 and he would try to get to it in two weeks. I paid him in full. That was September 2016. In November the repair was still not done. He said he just couldn't get to it because of weather and he would put a trap over it promising he would do the job in the spring. I agreed. In April Jim called me and said he would need more money that the job was more than he thought. I said No way just give me my money back. He backpedaled and said he would do it for what he quoted. Two months later still not done and no word from Jim. My husband called him and Jim cussed him out and threatened him. I told Jim to give us our money back and that we do not want him on our property. He said that he would not give the money back, but he would finish the job and that was the only option. I contacted Thumbtack and Jim agree to give me 500.00 of the money back that was the 3rd week in June. It is July 13 and still no money and Jim will not contact me or Thumbtack!!!!!!

Jim repaired some windows that we needed done right away for an inpection. He came out right away and quoted the work and then squeezed it is his busy schedule and got it done. Passed inspection!
