- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally, I try to estimate how many man-hours will be needed, which provides the bulk of the labor cost. I then add required materials separately, unless the customer has the materials. I try to give the customer a realistic cost number to work with.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communicate to understand their priorities. Explain how I may be able to address their needs. Do exactly what I promise.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken classes in mechanics, engines, welding, electronics, carpentry, drafting, metal work, construction, woodworking, plumbing. I have worked rebuilding and repairing electro-mechanical services devices (coin operated machines) I have worked on a farm to maintain structures, plumbing, tanks, grain storage, implements, fences, etc. I have worked for other contractors in remodeling, repairs to homes and businesses. I have worked professionally full-time across a wide range of repairs, installations, improvements and maintenance to homes and businesses, from roof and attic work to drywall, fixtures, appliances, molding and trim, plumbing, bathrooms, grout, doors, windows, electrical, paint and texture,assembly, installations, and most other things.
