FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I come from a family of educators. I tried to flee, but fate caught up with me and now I can proudly say that I have been in the education field for about two decades. I've volunteered, tutored, substituted and been an assistant. I've taught at the elementary, middle, high school and college levels. I have experience in the areas of maths, Spanish, ESL and other subjects.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My clients run the gamut from elementary school aged children to adults enrolled in programs to advance their career.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be realistic about where you or your child is academically. If there is a poor foundation in a particular subject area, you do the tutor and yourself/your child a disservice by looking for help the day before a test. If you want lasting results, setup regular sessions until you can be "weaned" to sessions as-needed. A good tutor should be preparing their client to NOT need them.
