FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer 3 levels of Directing/Planning. They range from Ceremony day only (which also includes rehearsal), to Full Service -I do it all. I also have a huge inventory of rental and retail items to meet literally all of their needs. I don't cater, and I am just learning floral design. Other than that, I think I have it all and my rentals & retail are priced at less than the local competition.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First visit is always complimentary. I love when the Bride & Groom come together. Unusually the Bride prefers to bring her mother to "feel me out" before she brings the Mr. If she can't get her vision across to me, or either of us is uncomfortable, Im going to recommend she keeps looking for her planner. I do not usually recommend another planner, because if I don't get along with her, I'm not sending her to someone else. If I am fully booked, then I will refer the Bride to our of the other planners in the area that I know does good work. Depending on the timing & wedding date we set up the next appointment if she is ready to do that.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
28 years in customer service, sales and marketing. Certification in Wedding Planning from the New York Institute of Art and Design, years of crafting, & an 8 month internship with a planner that tht has 30+ years in the field.
