FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We generally charge according to the length of the gig and the amount of people in our group that receive compensation, and whether we use an external sound system company.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to get to know our customers by talking with them about what they foresee as their vision for their upcoming event. For our last gig I emailed and talked by phone to our customer about all sorts of details and requests she had for her daughter's wedding reception. We honored her last request even though it was only 2 weeks before the gig and learned 3 new songs in a very short amount of time and she was very pleased and amazed at the quality of the performance on such short notice. So we put our customers first.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Maryland and my wife also has her masters in music education. We are the core of the group and have been playing and singing together for over 30 years. We are both music professionals who make our living in music so this is not just a hobby for us. I have sung with the Baltimore Opera, Washington Opera, and sung opera in Austria. I have taught piano and guitar for many years and I have been the music director at a local church for 26 years. We have played and sung with bands for numerous events and at many different venues over the years.
