Introduction: I have been playing and performing for nearly 50 years. Prior to teaching full-time, I played in a successful 80s rock band that is called The Back Street Kids and opened for numerous national acts like Bon Jovi, KIX, Foghat and Twisted Sister. When I see my students progress, it is rewarding on so many levels. In some cases, with advanced students, the role may morph into more of a coach than a teacher. But I do enjoy students of all ages and skill levels.
