- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When giving a total bid it usually is for what I think I may encounter while doing the job. Price can always come down and rarely goes up. Sometimes I’ll give an hourly rate just because there are too many variables that can be with the job description.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Preferred to talk with customer and see the job first to eliminate and answer any questions that may arise before I bid the job. This not only protects me from hidden costs but also gives insight and foresight to the customer I am dealing with to show that we want to do the job right and not take shortcuts.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
30+ years in all types and areas of construction, also being a fireman for over 20 years has given me insight to different building materials and ways of construction.
