Josh is the owner of this business and is a very nice, kind and hardworking man. He did all the work himself in my yard. I needed someone to trim my palm trees, trim a large willow tree, clean up a bunch of leave and trim a pomegranate bush that were all seriously overgrown. I only had until Friday to get it done. I went through Thumbtack and Josh sent me his number so I contacted him on a Monday. He said he could come the next day and was very flexible with the time. I told him 5pm. At 5:05 he called me to let me know he was waiting at my house - I was stuck in traffic and he said not a problem, he would wait for me, and he did. He gave me a fair price for the yard work and said he could get it done the next day. He did! He even texted me photos of the completed work. Very nice guy and I will be having him come in the future to maintain my yard. He had to take two truckloads of overgrowth out! My yard looks much better now!Sep 10, 2018Verified
I'm so disappointed and pissed with his job. When I hired Josh, and before he sent his invoice, I explained everything I wanted done. I told him that I wanted the turf installed, that I needed the blocks I gave him to be put in the two edges of the turf, and that I needed all the bushes hauled away, and that the back area needed to be leveled and cleaned up to look nice. Now he claims that his invoice was only for the turf installation. Why would he send me an invoice with only part of what I asked him to do, especially when I repeated 10 times that I wanted the bushes hauled away asap because scorpions hide in there! The main purpose of all of this, was to get rid of the bushes because of the scorpions. I think it's funny that he put pictures that looks so nice of my back yard, but forgot to put detailed and closer pictures of his messed up installation. Just a waist of money and time! Not only he didn't install the turf correctly, but he didn't finish his job and claims that he did. He left my driveway and street full of sand, didn't clean up the dunes of leftover sand and dirt and trash in both sides of my house, did horrible cuts of the turf... I have spots non covered, others non nailed to the floor, others that overlap... Some little pieces cut and thrown on top to cover cut mistakes... I have never seen a gardener leaving such a mess all around a garden! I thought a gardener was supposed to make your garden look good, I might be wrong... I asked him to finish his job in order to get paid, put he refused stating that he's actually finished. Now he wants to file a small claims court to get his money... LoL, I think he's lucky I'm not suing him to get my $800 deposit back. What a joke. Make yourself a favor, this guy may be good on other stuff, but definitely not for artificial turf installation! I'm adding some pictures of his job that he forgot to put in his profile...Jun 20, 2018VerifiedJosh K.'s reply
Najy, as I explained to you multiple times. I would haul away the bushes but would not do so until the remaining balance was paid. As for the sand in the driveway and street. I do apologize. In regards to the areas of turf that are near the wall. I cannot nail anything down with the footing that exists with the wall. I also explained that many times. I have tried multiple times to rectify the issues you are unhappy with and again, haul away the bushes. It’s very unfortunate that you are not satisfied but I did what we agreed upon and what the invoice stated.
