We remotely contracted with these guys for a leaf clean-up job at a rental property. The bid was competitive with others we received, and was based on an on-site visit. After being well into the job, they almost doubled the cost, citing it was more work than expected. We ended up just having them complete it, and they did a good job (hence the 3 stars), but we will not be using them again. There's not much that can be hidden in such a task, so the original bid should have been accurate.

Mike, We at American Edge Lawn Care would like to say thank you. We strive to do the best work possible for our clients. We appreciate the review and would like to help you understand why the pricing on that property went up. On you're original request, you stated that the previous leaf clean up was 3-4 weeks prior to our visit. that may have been true for the front yard of the property which we didn't have any problems clearing out. After the work started in the back yard, the accumulation and decaying of the leaves proves that the back yard has not been serviced properly in 3-4+ years. As this was happening I had reached out to you to see where you stand on a work order to cover the end of the extra labor and excessive dump fees. I did this in a professional manner and provided pictures to help visually explain the issue. We have been more careful upon bidding and have learned a lesson with this property. We do apologize about this issue and hope the future job requests are accurate/true for other professionals, so this doesn't happen again.

Stephanie, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am confused about why you told us how great of a job we were doing and even gave us a 45.00 tip. i wish you could have contacted me if there was such an issue and i would have done what i could to make it right. As far as showing up on time, I do not work in wet weather or temperatures under 40. as i was in contact with you on this and waiting to have a decent day to get to your property completed. we completed what was on the work order to complete in which you have a copy of as well. normally a tip is given to people who have done above and beyond the work expected and not to those who don't complete jobs.
