Introduction: I am an on location make up artist. I will travel on site to where the bridal party and bride are getting ready. I offer a consult for the bride in my studio so we can meet one on one. I love being a part of this magical day. From the first time I meet with the bride to create her vision to the last touch up on her lips on the wedding day...it's all such a wonderful experience to be a part of.

Certain aspects of wedding planning can be stressful at times and this is especially the case in planning a DIY wedding. Working with different vendors in order to make your vision come to life can be unnerving at times. The entire process with Richmond Makeup Artist was exceptional! I could tell from our first consultation, what an amazing experience was ahead for myself and my bridesmaids. I think Kirsty is set apart from other make up artists because she carefully listened and then made sure she understood what I was aiming to accomplish. Her talent and experience allowed her to make the natural, yet formal, look I was aiming for come to life. She added valuable suggestions and did a beautiful job. She was so calm and encouraging on the day of the wedding too! I really appreciated the support she offered. I would highly recommend Richmond Makeup Artist to any soon-to-be bride!

I got married in October of 2010 and really wanted to do everything as professionally as possible. Myself, being a Mary Kay Consultant knew I could do my own make up but really wanted to relax. That's when I contacted Kirsty. We talked about what I wanted and set a time and date to do a run through. We did the run through and I knew her technique was perfect for what I was looking for I am Asian with olive skin and I wanted my make up to reflect the season. Kirsty was very professional and open to my ideas and wants. She took the time to meet me at the site of my engagement photos and do my makeup there, making sure I had the perfect face. She also took the time to come to the wedding venue to not only do my makeup but all the ladies in my bridal party. She knew how to bring out the best features of each young lady and make them shine. To this very day people who see my engagement or wedding pictures comment on how beautiful my make up is. Such has an outstand talent combined with a sweet spirit and open mind, I will always ask Kirsty to do my make up, she will never disappoint!

From the moment I met Kirsty for my trial makeup she made me feel as ease and excited for my wedding day! Kirsty is extremely talented and is a true artist with a makeup brush. I was able to give her the vision in my mind and she made it come to life on my wedding day. She also did 4 of my bridesmaids and my Mom's makeup and they all looked amazing. She joined us at the wedding venue and spent the morning making us beautiful. After she left I had a problem with a fake eyelash, we made a frantic phone call to her and she turned around and came back and fixed it right before I walked down the aisle. Kirsty was a joy to work with and I am so happy she was recommended to me.

Kirsty: All of the girls looked amazing!! I am so glad we decided to use a makeup artist because it just wouldn't have been the same without your magic touch on that special day! I could not have asked for better! I don't know what I would have done without you. I felt like everything was going to go wrong, but there was one thing that I was sure about through all of the chaos and that was my makeup! I got so many compliments on my makeup – It made me feel so good to know that I was the highlight of the day, not to mention all of my girls were stunning too! I was fortunate to have found Kirsty. She did makeup and hair for one of my ballet shoots and delivered results that went above and beyond expectation. She made my client feel not only incredibly comfortable and at ease, but she made them feel so good that they wanted to rock their beauty look long after our shoot was finished. She listens to her clients, and has a wonderful way with people, and her work and work ethic are hard to beat. I look forward to having Kirsty as a beauty pro for more of my photoshoots.

I have different packages to suit different needs - depending on location and what's needed from the client. Prices on my website.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to meet one on one with my bride/ client so I can best understand her vision. We try different make up and looks so she knows exactly what's being produced the the wedding day.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained in a boutique on the Paul Dorf make up line which is based out of New York.
