FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have some standard pricing for book covers, however most of the illustrations I do is on a case by case basis, as it is impossible to know exactly what is desired before communicating with the client.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is to have either email, text or phone conversations about the project. My goal is to understand what the client is seeking. Then I send several versions as we work to together to get the perfect look. I use many mediums to reach the desired goal and am flexible, after all, it's your idea! I guarantee my work and it is important to me that all legal rights and copyrights are observed to protect both myself and the clients.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an Art Major (1993) with a specialty in pencil and colored pencil as my preferred medium. I have since moved into computer graphics and have taken several courses in Photoshop and other Adobe products. I have over ten years experience in photo manipulation but most of it has been for private use, until recently (my kids are grown). I am now starting to expand my business and career.
