My husband and I used Josh to design our new construction home in 2013 and have also used him for several smaller projects since then. He's skilled in speaking the language of construction, and is easy to get in touch with during the design process, which makes things run both smoothly and timely. He's always been able to make our budgets work by being able to suggest different ways of achieving the look we are after - he does his research and it shows, a huge time-saver for the homeowner. Design and professional skills aside, Josh is also just a really good guy and that's something that is important to us! He's on deck to design a finished basement for us next and we're excited to again be able to work with him.

We used Josh as our Architect to reconfigure our master bedroom. We were expanding our master bath as well as moving closets and windows. Our original house is very old with additions and changes made since it was first built over 300 years ago. The challenge that presents is designing things that look like they all belong inside and out and Josh did a great job with that. Josh was very professional, on time and available which are three very important traits of an architect. He made himself available to our builder and worked with us any changes we had, including on the fly which was very important when you have builders who are trying to squeeze in as much work as possible. Josh was also very good at listening to our ideas and then showing us options that addressed them and he also was not afraid to point out the issues with an idea if there were any. I would use Josh and DE+K again.

Design services are typically billed out hourly a rate of $50/hr. Upon project review we can provide an approximate design fee budget. Construction project values will vary depending on type and finishes.

Meet/into then develop a prelim design, review and adjust to clients wishes, finalize and issue for construction or bid.
