FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Houses begin at $150 (small and close) while a large house far away might be $250. Travel time is a factor. Wedding videography ranges from $1-2,000: a ceremony costs 1,000 and that covers traveling, equipment rental and hired help, +500 for reception video, + another $500 if you wished to include preparation. Headshots average $200.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My schedule is flexible and I try extra hard to be accommodating. For properties, give me at least a 2 day notice and we'll aim for pleasant weather. Outdoor shots will look best if done between April and October. Photographs are usually edited and shared via google drive within a day or two. HD videos are delivered on a thumb drive and blu-ray disc. For weddings, I'll burn one full length disc and a second containing highlights put to music; expect several copies of each with a custom cover burned onto the top. Payment is usually given in the form of a check at the shoot.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Member of PPA, Headshot Crew, and REPAI. I subscribe to Professional Photographer Magazine, Outdoor Photographer, Popular Photography, as well as a dozen YouTube channels. I've also read about 15 college level books on photography and videography.
