FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We work with our clients to teach them to: LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT Consider the relational culture, and its impact on the business. Find the unique ways to motivate each employee. Use the right tools to increase Emotional Intelligence (EQ) in the workplace. Work on their business instead of working in their business. Train their employees for their “next” role, leaving them with hope and excitement about their future. Perform quarterly performance evaluations. TEAM FUNCTION Understand that their employee’s happiness is their business’s happiness, and its dramatic and direct impact on the bottom line. Fully understand the four elements that a team needs to be successful (implementation, planning, systems, and selling). Understand the effects one individual could have on the entire team. Hire the right people and put them in the right positions. Put an entire team together to increase efficiency and enjoyment. Facilitate efficient, productive, and consistent weekly meetings with their staff. IMPLEMENTATION OF SUPPORTIVE SYSTEMS Understand how to work with those who are not like them. Align their vision and values for future growth in their current work environment. Make effective use of their employees' time with strong, precise meetings. Measure the right performance indicators. Understand which tools to use to increase their company’s performance. Hire staff that is aligned with their company’s vision and values. Maintain personnel files (wage changes, discipline issues, sick/vacation time, etc.). Develop written job descriptions based on what employees actually do, and performance standards that are truly measurable and repeatable.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certified Birkman Consultant
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up a pastor's kid and began my professional career working for, and alongside, churches. Early on, I had success in putting people in positions to succeed, and for helping programs to thrive and flourish. I also really enjoyed working with Small Groups and Executive Pastors. All of this led to coaching and consulting pastors and churches, which in turn led to businesses. I have come to be highly regarded by my peers for my work around developing and enhancing human capital, implementing supportive systems, the Birkman Method, and generational and cultural issues in the workplace.
