Leilah's Music Studio

Introduction: Ms. Leilah specializes in the Suzuki method of teaching music by ear, although she places equal emphasis on notereading for a more well-rounded student. She has her bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Indianapolis and 13 years of experience teaching. She is also a certified Suzuki instructor via the Suzuki Association of the Americas. This is a highly successful method of teaching music that involves the parents in lessons as well! I highly enjoy discovering what makes each of my students tick and using that to teach them about music. I also love having a guardian involved in the lessons, because it helps the students progress more quickly and accurately. I also really enjoy seeing the "light bulb going off" moment with students when they finally understand something they had previously been struggling with.
