- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It is extremely important to the success of the job that we have a clear understanding and agreement in writing of the scope, timeline, cost, and expectation of the project before we begin. If the quote matches your needs and your budget and you are ready and able to get started, but have questions, I will schedule a short call to firm up the details. For many types of projects, once we are ready to move forward, I will supply you with a questionnaire that helps me better understand your needs. Most clients tell me that it helps them gain clarity as well. If I send you a questionnaire, it is important that you return it before I can start the job. I promise you that the time you invest into providing me this information will result in a more successful project and a faster completion time. The project and timeline do not start until I receive 50% of the amount due and the questionnaire (if required), along with any additional materials you have agreed to supply. Once we are in production, I will keep you updated via email. While we can touch base by phone, I have found that communicating via email provides both of us with greater clarity and a way to reference the work being done.
