FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The standard rate is $55 for an hour. Because the service is more beneficial to the client and is easier on the therapist if it is longer, there are discounts for longer services. A 90 minute service is $80. There is also a $5 cash discount.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with an intake form. I have a 5-10 minute conversation with the customer about their goals. If I'm travelling to the client, I will have a companion with me and will set up while I do this. If I'm in my home, I'd show the client to the massage room, where they are given time to relax on the table. I then proceed with the massage and evaluate the body. If I need to give the client any notes, I will write them down for the client on an index card and suggest a period of time where I see them again.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My formal training was at McCann School of Business and Technology. Whilst studying there, I trained under Laird Maccubbin at Benedetto Chiropractic, where they specialized in neurology related conditions such as herniated discs, neuropathy, and fibromyalgia. I have continuing education training in several modalities, including rotator cuff treatment, thai yoga, treating fibromyalgia, and hydrotherapy. Previous education was in studio art and technical theatrical design. This introduced me to a fascination in human form and movement. My own issues with back pain introduced me to holistic methods of healing, including yoga, massage, and chiropractic care.
