FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually estimate the total amount of hours I feel a project to take, and multiple that by my hourly rate. If necessary I then tweak this number higher or lower based on the job if I see fit.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a phone conversation, or at least a detailed communication of some kind prior to any acceptance of being hired, to discuss both the requirements of the job, and also the expectations of both the final project and the timeline/process. I like to make sure we are all on the same page before any projects begin.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in computer engineering technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology ( RIT) which is a combination of electrical engineering and computer science(programming). I have also worked in the Web/Software/Mobile design and development business for over 10 years, working on various platforms, with many languages, and leveraging many technologies.
